--Miroslav Satan had the opprtunity to ride in a formula one Racecars in the Czech Republic, and then the crew took him along to the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he was able to watch the action from the pit row (....argh...lucky bastard!!!)..
--Also Satan is changing his uniform number back to #18 this season, so look for it..

- On a team known for its goaltending and grind-it-out style, Satan, with his breakaway speed and excellent shot, gives the sabres that one offensive threat for the opposition to fear.

HOW ACQUIRED: Selected 111th overall by Edmonton in the 1993 Draft, Satan made his NHL debut with the Oilers in 1995-96. Buffalo Acquired Satan on March 18, 1997, from Edmonton in exchange for Barrie Moore and Craig Millar.

Even though Satan didnt reach 40 goals, like last year, he still had a hell of a season...Playing 81 gms with 33 goals...34 assists..and 67 points (Which was higher than last year)...Satan stayed pretty healthy last season...which helped his team out alot...Satan made his first all star appearance this year at the 50th all-star game...scoring one goal in the third period, in the worlds first win since the NHL started this format...Unfortanly Satan was unable to retrieve his puck, in which he scored his first goal with...he doesnt even know what happened to it....In skills competion...Satan particapated in the rapid fire, and in the shooting accuracy...in which he all most placed top score...but NY Islanders Mariusz C. beat him by one less shot...Afterwards Satan started to get more attention out on the ice....Lindy Ruff started using him in different situations to help him devolpe, and teams started to concentrate on him more, takin him as a offensive threat...As a result Satan was feeling the pressure to produce...and as they say its harder to score 40 goals again than doing it the first time, Satan found out that this is true.....his linemates and teammates started putting pressure on him to produce when they were in need of some scoring....Towards the end of the season, when the Sabres needed him the most, Satan fell into a big scoring slump...this really hurt the team, and as a result Satan was getting Fustrated....Finally when the Sabres Aquired Gratton and Gilmour, Satan finally pulled out of his slump, and the Sabres made the playoffs.....During the playoffs vs. the Flyers Satan in 5 games scored 3 goals, and made two assists...But some bad goals led to the sabres being kicked out of the playoffs, and the Sabres got a head start to there offseason....After the Playoffs, the World Championships came along and Satan was choosen to join Slovakia...Satan wasnt so sure if he wanted to go, but he finally made up his mind and went...With Palffy and other key players out due to injuries, Satan was made team captain of Slovakia...Satan had a long, difficult trip to St. Petersburg...He had to stay on a plane for more than 15 hours...and to top it off, the Airport lost his luggage...so Satan was stuck in the same clothes he was wearin since he left Buffalo, But luckily he had his equipment there at the arena...Satan led team Slovakia to the Silver medal...Slovakias first medal since Czechoslovakia peacefully broke apart in 1992...Satan was the Leadin goal scorer in the tourament with 10 goals....Satan came out for Slovakia as a leader when they really needed him, and thanks to him, led them to the finals...

1998-99
Shared Memorial Trophy (MVP award voted by teammates) with Dominik Hasek. Named NHL's player of the week for March 15-21 and for the week of Feb 15-21...Was the first time in career to be awarded NHL's player of the week...Finished tied for seventh in NHL in goals and fifth in shooting percentage with 19.2%...Eight game goal scoring streak (12/19/98 to 1/2/99) tied for longest in NHL in 98-99, as well as tying club club record...Led Sabres in scoring and set season highs in goals (40), assists (26), and points (66)...Scored 40th goal of season (PP/GWG) in 3-0 win vs. Washinton (4/18)...First Sabre 40-goal scorer since Pat LaFontaine in 95-96...Scored 100th NHL goal (on PP) in 4-3 OT win vs. Pittsburgh...Played 100th game with Sabres, recording goal (on PP) and assist at Toronto (10/31)...GAMES MISSED DUE TO INJURY/ILLNESS: 1, flu, missed game at Florida (11/28). WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AT ST PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

-Satan was the leading goal scorer of the tourament.

-Satan was the Captain of Team Slovakia, and led them to there first silver medal.

-Was on plane for over 15 hours, and he lost his luggage once arriving at St. Petersburg to play Team Austria, and emerged as a true leader for Slovakia.
